David Freitas traded to Orioles

David Freitas was traded by the Oakland Athletics to the Baltimore Orioles on December 12, 2013 to complete an earlier trade. He is a catcher who split 2013 between Double A Midland and Triple A Sacramento. He hit .214/.285/.362 with 9 HR, 21 RBI, 34 R, 0 SB in 61 games at Midland and hit .268/.355/.381 with 1 HR, 9 RBI, 13 R, 0 SB in 29 games at Sacramento. He was originally drafted by the Nationals in the 15th round in 2010. He was traded to the Athletics in 2012. Freitas turned 24 on March 18.
