Chris Stewart traded to Pirates
Chris Stewart was traded by the New York Yankees to the Pittsburgh Pirates on December 2, 2013 for a player to be named later. Stewart is a catcher with seven seasons MLB experience playing with the Yankees, Giants, Padres, Rangers and White Sox. In 2013 he hit .211/.293/.272 with 4 HR, 25 RBI, 28 R, 4 SB in 109 games with the Yankees. For his MLB career he has hit .214/.287/.288 with 8 HR, 51 RBI, 67 R, 6 SB in 257 games. He was originally drafted by the White Sox in the 12th round in 2001. Stewart will be 32 on February 19.
