2013 Where are they now 2011 MLB draft picks 34 to 40

The 2013 season is behind us and I'm checking how picks 34 to 40 of the 2011 draft did this season. Traditionally players drafted out of college advance faster than those drafted out of high school and pitchers usually advance faster than position players. Some players might also be traded to help their team get an established player that can help their team improve immediately.

The Washington Nationals drafted outfielder Brian Goodwin 34th out of Miami Dade College. He played in 2013 at Double A Harrisburg. He hit .252/.355/.407 with 10 HR, 40 RBI, 82 R, 19 SB in 122 games.

The Toronto Blue Jays drafted outfielder Jacob Anderson 35th out of Chino High School in Chino, CA. He did not play in 2013 after rib surgery.

The Boston Red Sox drafted LHP Henry Owens 36th out of Edison High School in Huntington Beach, CA. He split 2013 between Class A Advanced Salem and Double A Portland. He was 8-5, 2.92 ERA, 123 K, 1.14 WHIP in 104.2 IP over 20 games at Salem and was 3-1, 1.78 ERA, 46 K, 1.09 WHIP in 30.1 IP over 6 games at Portland.

The Texas Rangers drafted outfielder Zach Cone 37th out of Georgia. He played in 2013 at Class A Advanced Mytle Beach. He hit .308/.333/.385 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 3 R, 1 SB in 7 games before missing most of the season with a torn Achilles tendon.

The Tampa Bay Rays drafted shortstop Brandon Martin 38th out of Santiago High School in Corona, CA. He played in 2013 at Class A Bowling Green. He hit .206/.268/.347 with 7 HR, 39 RBI, 29 R, 10 SB in 73 games.

The Philadelphia Phillies drafted outfielder Larry Greene 39th out of South Carolina. He played in 2013 at Class A Lakewood. He hit .213/.306/.303 with 4 HR, 28 RBI, 45 R, 8 SB in 111 games.

The Boston Red Sox drafted outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr 40th out of South Carolina. He split 2013 between Triple A Pawtucket and the Red Sox. He hit .275/.374/.469 with 10 HR, 35 RBI, 57 R, 7 SB in 80 games at Pawtucket and hit .189/.280/.337 with 3 HR, 10 RBI, 18 R, 2 SB in 37 games with the Red Sox.
