2013 Where are they now 2013 MLB draft picks 11 to 20

The 2013 season is behind us and I'm checking how picks 11 to 20 of the 2013 draft did this season. Traditionally players drafted out of college advance faster than those drafted out of high school and pitchers usually advance faster than position players. Some players might also be traded to help their team get an established player that can help their team improve immediately.

The New York Mets drafted first baseman Dominic Smith 11th out of  Junipero Serra High School in Gardena, CA. He split 2013 between Rookie Gulf Coast and Rookie Kingsport. He hit .287/.384/.407 with 3 HR, 22 RBI, 23 R, 2 SB in 48 games at Gulf Coast and hit .667/.750/1.333 with 0 HR, 4 RBI, 2 R, 0 SB in 3 games at Kingsport.

The Seattle Mariners drafted third baseman D J Peterson 12th out of New Mexico. He split 2013 between Class A Everett and Class A Clinton. He hit .312/.382/.532 with 6 HR, 27 RBI, 20 R, 0 SB in 29 games at Everett and hit .293/.346/.576 with 7 HR, 20 RBI, 16 R, 1 SB in 26 games at Clinton.

The San Diego Padres drafted outfielder Hunter Renfroe 13th out of Mississippi State. He split 2013 between Class A Eugene and Class A Fort Wayne. He hit .308/.333/.510 with 4 HR, 18 RBI, 20 R, 2 SB in 25 games at Eugene and hit .212/.268/.379 with 2 HR, 7 RBI, 6 R, 0 SB in 18 games at Fort Wayne.

The Pittsburgh Pirates drafted catcher Reese McGuire 14th out of Kentwood Senior High School in Covington, WA. He split 2013 between Rookie Gulf Coast and Class A Jamestown. He hit .330/.388/.392 with 0 HR, 21 RBI, 30 R, 5 SB in 46 games at Gulf Coast and hit .250/.294/.250 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 3 R, 1 SB in 4 games at Jamestown.. 

The Arizona Diamondbacks drafted RHP Braden Shipley 15th out of Texas A&M. He split 2013 between Class A Hillsboro and Class A South Bend. He was 0-2, 7.58 ERA, 24 K, 1.90 WHIP in 19.0 IP over 8 games at Hillsboro and was 0-1, 2.61 ERA, 16 K, 1.07 WHIP in 20.2 IP over 4 games at South Bend.

The Philadelphia Phillies drafted shortstop J P Crawford 16th out of Lakewood High School in Los Angeles, CA.  He split 2013 between Rookie Gulf Coast and Class A Lakewood. He hit .345/.443/.465 with 1 HR, 19 RBI, 24 R, 12 SB in 39 games at Gulf Coast and hit .208/.300/.226 with 0 HR, 2 RBI, 10 R, 2 SB in 14 games at Lakewood.

The Chicago White Sox drafted shortstop Tim Anderson 17th out of East Central Community College. He played 2013 at Class A Kannapolis. He hit .277/.348/.363 with 1 HR, 21 RBI, 45 R, 24 SB in 68 games.

The Los Angeles Dodgers drafted RHP Chris Anderson 18th out of Jacksonville University. He pitched in 2013 at Class A Great Lakes. He was 3-0, 1.96 ERA, 50 K, 1.22 WHIP in 46.0 IP over 12 games.

The St Louis Cardinals drafted LHP Marco Gonzalez 19th out of Gonzaga. He split 2013 between Rookie Gulf Coast and Class A Advanced Palm Beach. He was 0-0, 5.40 ERA, 10 K, 1.65 WHIP in 6.2 IP over 4 games at Gulf Coast and was 0-0, 1.62 ERA, 13 K, 0.90 WHIP in 16.2 IP over 4 games at Palm Beach.. 

The Detroit Tigers drafted RHP Jonathon Crawford 20th out of Florida. He pitched in 2013 at Class A Connecticut. He was 0-2, 1.89 ERA, 21 K, 1.26 WHIP in 19.0 IP over 8 games.
