Brandon Jacobs traded to Diamondbacks

Brandon Jacobs was traded by the Chicago White Sox to the Arizona Diamondbacks on December 13, 2013 to complete an earlier trade. He had been traded to the White Sox by the Red Sox in July. He played in 2013 at Class A Advanced Salem, Double A Portland and Double A Birmingham. He hit .244/.334/.440 with 11 HR, 44 RBI, 44 R, 10 SB in 81 games at Salem, hit .375/.375/.750 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 2 R, 0 SB in 3 games at Portland and after the trade hit .237/.291/.327 with 2 HR, 22 RBI, 13 R, 2 SB in 43 games at Birmingham. He was originally drafted by the Red Sox in the tenth round in 2009. Jacobs turned 23 on December 8th.
