Drew Stubbs was traded by the Cleveland Indians to the Colorado Rockies on December 18, 2013. In exchange the Indians received Josh Outman.
Stubbs is an outfielder with five seasons MLB experience playing with the Indians and Reds. In 2013 he hit .233/.305/.360 with 10 HR, 45 RBI, 59 R, 17 SB in 146 games with the Indians. For his MLB career he has hit .239/.310/.381 with 69 HR, 223 RBI, 344 R, 127 SB in 632 games. He was originally drafted by the Reds with the eighth pick of the first round in 2006. He was traded to the Indians in 2012. Stubbs turned 29 on October 4th.
LHP Outman has five seasons MLB experience pitching with the Rockies and Athletics. He split 2013 between Triple A Colorado Springs and the Rockies. He was 1-0, 0.84 ERA, 14 K, 1.13 WHIP in 10.2 IP over 5 games at Colorado Springs and was 3-0, 4.33 ERA, 53 K, 1.46 WHIP in 54.0 IP over 61 games with the Rockies. For his MLB career he is 12-11, 4.61 ERA, 200 K, 1.43 WHIP in 246.0 IP over 121 games. He was originally drafted by the Phillies in the tenth round in 2005. He was traded to the Athletics in 2008 and then traded to the Rockies in 2012. Outman turned 29 on September 14.
