2013 Where are they now 2013 MLB draft picks 34 to 39

The 2013 season is behind us and I'm checking how picks 34 to 39 (which closed out the first round) of the 2013 draft did this season. Traditionally players drafted out of college advance faster than those drafted out of high school and pitchers usually advance faster than position players. Some players might also be traded to help their team get an established player that can help their team improve immediately.

The Kansas City Royals drafted LHP Sean Manaea 34th out of Indiana State. He did not pitch in 2013 due to a hip injury.

The Miami Marlins drafted LHP Matt Krook 35th out of St Ignatius High School in San Francisco, CA. He did not sign after he failed the physical and enrolled at Oregon.

The Arizona Diamondbacks drafted RHP Aaron Blair 36th out of Marshall. He split 2013 between Class A Hillsboro and Class A South Bend. He was 1-1, 2.90 ERA, 28 K, 1.23 WHIP in 31.0 IP over 8 games at Hillsboro and was 0-2, 3.57 ERA, 13 K, 1.30 WHIP in 17.2 IP over 3 games at South Bend.

The Baltimore Orioles drafted outfielder Josh Hart 37th out of Parkview High School in Lilburn, GA. He split 2013 between Rookie Gulf Coast and Class A Aberdeen. He hit .228/.312/.301 with 0 HR, 9 RBI, 14 R, 11 SB in 33 games at Gulf Coast and hit .100/.182/.100 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 0 R, 0 SB in 3 games at Aberdeen.

The Cincinnati Reds drafted RHP Michael Lorenzen 38th out of Cal State Fullerton. He split 2013 between Rookie Arizona, Class A Dayton, Class A Advanced Bakersfield and Double A Pensacola. He was 0-0, 0.00 ERA, 1 K, 1.00 WHIP in 1.0 IP in 1 game at Arizona, was 1-0, 0.00 ERA, 7 K, 1.08 WHIP, 2 SV in 8.1 IP over 9 games at Dayton, was 0-1, 6.35 ERA, 6 K, 1.94 WHIP, 2 SV in 5.2 IP over 5 games at Bakersfield and was 0-0, 4.50 ERA, 5 K, 2.00 WHIP in 6.0 IP over 7 games at Pensacola.

The Detroit Tigers drafted RHP Corey Knebel 39th out of Texas. He pitched in 2013 at Class A West Michigan. He was 2-1, 0.87 ERA, 41 K, 0.77 WHIP, 15 SV in 31.0 IP over 31 games.
