Ted Lilly retires
Ted Lilly announced his retirement from playing baseball in November 2013. Lilly was a LHP with 15 seasons MLB experience pitching with the Expos (1999), Yankees (2000-2002), Athletics (2002-2003), Blue Jays (2004-2006), Cubs (2007-2010) and Dodgers (2010-2013). In 2013 he was 0-2, 5.09 ERA, 18 K, 1.61 WHIP in 23.0 IP over 5 games but missed most of the season with a neck injury. For his MLB career he was 130-113, 4.14 ERA, 1681 K, 1.26 WHIP in 1982.2 IP over 356 games. He was originally drafted by the Dodgers in the 23rd round in 1996 out of Fresno City College. Lilly was 37 when he retired with his next birthday on January 4th.
