Gerrit Cole of the Pittsburgh Pirates was selected the National League Pitcher of the Month for April 2015. During the month the RHP was 4-0, 1.76 ERA, 35 K, 0.98 WHIP, .198 BAA in 30.2 IP over 5 games. Over three MLB seasons with the Pirates he is 25-12, 3.27 ERA, 273 K, 1.17 WHIP, .245 BAA in 286.0 IP over 46 games. He was originally drafted by the Pirates with the first overall pick in 2011. Cole will be 25 on September 8th.
