John McDonald retires

John McDonald announced his retirement from playing baseball in January 2015. The SS\2B\3B had 16 seasons MLB experience playing with the Cleveland Indians (1999-2004, 2013), Toronto Blue Jays (2005-2011), Detroit Togers (2005), Arizona Diamondbacks (2011-2012), Pittsburgh Pirates (2013), Philadelphia Phillies (2013), Boston Red Sox (2013) and Los Angeles Angels (2014). For 2014 he hit .171/.256/.197 with 28 HR, 310 RBI, 276 R, 34 SB in 1100 games. He was originally drafted by the Indians in the 12th round in 1996. McDonald was 40 at the time of his retirement.
