Matt West traded to Dodgers
Matt West was traded by the Toronto Blue Jays to the Los Angeles Dodgers on May 4, 2015 for cash. The RHP split 2014 between Double A Frisco, Triple A Round Rock and the Rangers. He was 2-0, 0.68 ERA, 10 K, 0.68 WHIP, .156 BAA, 3 SV in 13.1 IP over 8 games at Frisco, 3-3, 4.15 ERA, 54 K, 1.57 WHIP, .294 BAA, 1 SV in 43.1 IP over 33 games at Round Rock and 0-0, 6.75 ERA, 3 K, 1.75 WHIP, .353 BAA in 4.0 IP over 3 games with the Rangers. Prior to the trade in 2015 he was 0-0, 0.00 ERA, 17 K, 1.05 WHIP, .205 BAA, 1 SV in 12.1 IP over 7 games at Double A New Hampshire. He was originally drafted by the Rangers in the second round in 2007 and selected off waivers by the Blue Jays in January 2015. West turned 26 on November 21.
