Juan Pierre retires
Juan Pierre announced his retirement from playing baseball in February 2015. The outfielder had 14 seasons MLB experience playing with the Colorado Rockies (2000-2002), Florida Marlins (2003-2005), Chicago Cubs (2006), Los Angeles Dodgers (2007-2009), Chicago White Sox (2010-2011), Philadelphia Phillies (2012) and Miami Marlins (2013). He did not play in 2014. For his MLB career he hit .295/.343/.361 with 18 HR, 517 RBI, 1075 R, 614 SB in 1994 games. Pierre was a World Series Champion in 2003. He was originally drafted by the Rockies in the 13th round in 1998. Pierre was 37 at the time of his retirement.
