Michael Taylor retires

Michael Taylor announced his retirement from playing baseball in March 2015. The outfielder had four seasons MLB experience playing with the Oakland Athletics (2011-2013) and Chicago White Sox (2014). For 2014 he hit .243/.357/.385 with 5 HR, 31 RBI, 34 R, 7 SB in 59 games at Triple A Sacramento, .306/.386/.489 with 6 HR, 38 RBI, 41 R, 1 SB in 64 games at Triple A Charlotte and .250/.364/.286 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 3 R, 0 SB in 11 games with the White Sox. For his MLB career he hit .167/.254/.216 with 1 HR, 1 RBI, 9 R, 0 SB in 37 games. He was originally drafted by the Phillies in the fifth round in 2007. Taylor was 29 at the time of his retirement.
