Drew Butera traded to Royals

Drew Butera was traded by the Los Angeles Angels to the Kansas City Royals on May 7, 2015. The Angels in exchange received Ryan Jackson. 

Butera is a catcher who was hitting .190/.190/.190 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 3 R, 0 SB in 10 games with the Angels. Over six MLB seasons with the Royals, Angels, Dodgers and Twins he has hit .184/.238/.268 with 8 HR, 56 RBI, 58 R, 0 SB in 264 games. His cuaght stealing rate is 32%. He was originally drafted by the Mets in the fifth round in 2005. Butera will be 32 on August 9th.

Jackson is a 2B\3B\SS who was hitting .305/.379/.407 with 1 HR, 2 RBI, 9 R, 0 SB in 19 games at Triple A Omaha. He did have two seasons of limited MLB experience with the Cardinals where he hit .083/.120/.083 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 2 R, 0 SB in 20 games. He was originally drafted by the Cardinals in the fifth round in 2009. Jackson turned 27 on May 10.
