Chad Smith was traded by the Oakland Athletics to the Los Angeles Angels on May 8, 2015 for cash. The RHP had split 2015 between Triple A Nashville and the Ahtletics prior to the trade. Over two MLB seasons with the Athletics and Tigers he is 0-0, 8.31 ERA, 11 K, 2.00 WHIP, .357 BAA in 13.0 IP over 12 games. He was originally drafted by the Tigers in the 17th round in 2011. Smith will be 26 on October 2nd.
