Magglio Ordonez Retires
Magglio Ordonez announced his retirement from playing baseball in June 2012. The outfielder had a 15 year MLB career and played with the Chicago White Sox (1997-2004) and Detroit Tigers (2005-2011). For his career he hit .309/.369/.502 with 294 HR, 1236 RBI, 1076 R and 94 SB in 1848 games. He was an All Star four times with the White Sox (1999, 2000, 2001, 2003) and twice with the Tigers (2006 and 2007). He was the American League batting champ in 2007 with a .363 average. He originally signed with the White Sox as an amateur free agent in 1991 out of Venezuela.
