Brewers call up Tyler Thornburg

The Milwaukee Brewers are calling up RHP Tyler Thornburg to make his MLB debut. He will make the start in place of injured RHP Shawn Marcum. I first wrote about Thornburg in May and he has continued to impress. He has pitched 13 games for the Brewers Double A team Huntsville and is 8-1 with a 3.00 ERA, 71 K, 1.08 WHIP in 75.0 IP. He was originally drafted by the Brewers in the third round in 2010.
