Aaron Hill hits for cycle 062912

Aaron Hill of the Arizona Diamondbacks hit for the cycle in a 4 for 5 performance in a 9-3 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers. He hit a double in the first, a single in the third, a two run home run in the fourth and a triple in the sixth. He also hit for the cycle on June 18 against the Seattle Mariners. That feat made him only the fourth player in MLB history to hit for two cycles in the same season and he is only the second player to accomplish that since 1900. Babe Herman of the Brooklyn Robins last did it in 1931. The Robins changed their name to the Dodgers the following year. For the season Hill is hitting .302/.363/.520 with 11 HR, 38 RBI, 35 R, 7 SB in 73 games. In his 8 year MLB career he has hit .269/.324/.424 with 109 RBI, 463 RBI, 494 R, 51 SB in 981 games. He was originally drafted by the Blue Jays with the 13th pick of the first round in 2003. Hill turned 30 on March 21.
