The Chicago Cubs have called up Anthony Rizzo and he is due to make his MLB debut tonight against the New York Mets. The first baseman had been with Triple A Iowa where he hit .342/.405/.696 with 23 HR, 62 RBI, 48 R and 2 SB in 70 games. He had originally been drafted by the Red Sox in the sixth round in 2007. He was traded to the Padres in December 2010 and then traded to the Cubs in January 2012. Rizzo will be 23 on August 8th.
