Florida State eliminated Stony Brook with their 12-2 victory on Sunday night. The Seminoles gave their starting pitcher Mike Compton a 9-0 lead through four innings. Compton allowed two runs in the fifth but left after the sixth with what would be the final score. Compton's line was 6.0 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 4 K in 92 pitches to push his record to 12-2. Devon Travis led the Seminole hitters going 3 for 3 with a home run, 3 RBI, 3 R and 2 BB. Florida State will play another elimination game on Tuesday against second seed UCLA.
