Arkansas 8 Kent State 1 CWS 2012 game 3

A second Cinderella stumbled out of the gates as Kent State fell to Arkansas 8-1. Arkansas came in with one of the best pitching staffs and D J Baxendale was masterful as he put up a line of 6.1 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 5 K in 94 pitches. Kent State manged only four hits in the game getting the run on a Jimmy Rider solo home run. Joe Serano led the Razorback hit attack going 3 for 3 with an RBI while Jake Wise showed some pop with a solo home run in his 2 for 3, 3 RBI, 2 R, BB performance. Arkansas will next play South Carolina on Monday in a winner's bracket game. Kent State will face elimination Monday as they face top seed Florida.
