South Carolina took a big step toward defending their two titles with a 7-3 victory over top seed Florida. Gamecocks pitcher Michael Roth allowed seven hits over his 6.1 innings to push his record to 8-1 as he was backed by a 12 hit attack. Evan Marzilli, Christian Walker, L B Dantzler, Tanner English and Chase Vargason all collected two hits but it was Erik Payne's bases loaded triple that sparked a five run fifth inning. South Carolina next plays Arkansas in a winner's bracket game on Monday. Florida will play an elimination game against Kent State.
