2012 Texas League All Star Game

The Texas League All Star game was played on June 29 and the North won 3-1. Center fielder Oscar Taveras of the Springfield Cardinals earned the MVP. On the season Taveras is hitting .323/.377/.591 with 15 HR, 51 RBI, 42 R and 6 SB in 72 games. He originally signed with the Cardinals as an amateur free agent in 2008 out of the Dominican Republic.
