South Carolina had their second strong pitching performance of the day and kept the hopes of their three-peat alive with a 2-0 victory over Arkansas. Gamecocks pitcher Jordan Montgomery limited Arkansas to three hits over eight innings as his final line was 8.0 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 6 K in 89 pitches. Tanner English and Chase Vergason drove in each of South Carolina's runs in the second inning. The two teams play again tomorrow night and the winner faces Arizona in the best of three championship series starting Sunday.
