Carlos Correa made his pro debut after being selected number one overall by the Houston Astros in the 2012 MLB draft. It was refreshing to see Correa and several other top picks sign so quickly after the draft and slightly loosen the grip of agents on the game. Correa got his first professional hit as he went 1 for 5 as the Gulf Coast League (GCL) Astros won 1-0 over the GCL Cardinals in 13 innings.
