The rosters have been revealed for the 2012 Futures Game to be played on July 8 at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, MO. Every Major League team has at least one player on either the US or World roster and some teams have more than one. In this post I'll be going over the outfielders on the World team.
Oswaldo Arcia is a left handed hitting outfielder with the New Britain Rock Cats which is the Double A team of the Minnesota Twins. He started the season with Class A Advanced Fort Myers where he hit .309/.376/.517 with 7 HR, 31 RBI, 22 R, 1 SB in 55 games. With New Britian he is hitting .143/.235/.214 with 0 HR, 2 RBI, 3 R, 0 SB in 4 games. He originally signed with the Twins in 2007. Arcia was born in Anaco, Venezuela and turned 21 on May 9th.
Jae-Hoon Ha is a right-handed outfielder with the Tennessee Smokies which is the Double A team of the Chicago Cubs. With Tennessee he is hitting .248/.323/.338 with 2 HR, 20 RBI, 37 R, 5 SB in 68 games. He originally signed with the Cubs in 2009. Ha was born in Jin Ju City, South Korea and will be 22 on October 29.
Rymer Liriano is a right-handed outfielder with the Lake Elsinore Storm which is the Class A Advanced team of the San Diego Padres. With Lake Elsinore he is hitting .302/.360/.453 with 5 HR, 40 RBI, 39 R, 21 SB in 68 games. He originally signed with the Padres in 2007. Liriano was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and turned 21 on June 20.
Alfredo Marte is a right-handed outfielder with the Mobile BayBears which is the Double A team of the Arizona Diamondbacks. With Mobile he is hitting .292/.364/.575 with 14 HR, 48 RBI, 40 R, 5 SB in 64 games. He originally signed with the Diamondbacks in 2005. Marte was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and he turned 23 on March 31.
Oscar Taveras is a left-handed outfielder with the Springfield Cardinals which is the Double A team of the St Louis Cardinals. With Springfield he is hitting .323/.380/.579 with 13 HR, 47 RBI, 40 R, 6 SB in 69 games. He originally signed with the Cardinals in 2008. Taveras was born in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic and turned 20 in June 19.
