Esmil Rogers traded to Indians

Esmil Rogers was traded by the Colorado Rockies to the Cleveland Indians on June 12, 2012 in exchange for cash. The RHP was in his fourth season with the Rockies and this season was 0-2 with a 8.06 ERA, 29 K, 2.10 WHIP in 25.2 IP over 23 games. For his career he is 8-11 with a 6.74 ERA, 163 K, 1.81 WHIP in 185.2 IP over 71 games. He originally signed with the Rockies as an amateur free agent in 2003 out of the Dominican Republic. Rogers will be 27 on August 14.
