Dodgers Call Up Alex Castellanos
The Los Angeles Dodgers have called up Alex Castellanos from Triple A Albuquerque. The second baseman\outfielder has hit .379/.476/.759 with 5 HR, 14 RBI, 20 R and 9 SB in 22 games at Triple A this season. He came over to the Dodgers in the trade that sent Rafael Furcal to the Cardinals in 2011. In 2011 he hit .319/.379/.562 with 19 HR, 62 RBI, 72 R and 10 SB in 93 games with the Cardinals Double A team Springfield and hit .322/.406/.603 with 4 HR, 23 RBI, 30 R and 4 SB in 32 games with the Dodgers Double A team Chattanooga. He was originally drafted by the Cardinals in the tenth round in 2008. Castellanos will be 26 on 26 on August 4.
