Nelson Cruz April 2015 AL Player of the Month

Nelson Cruz of the Seattle Mariners was selected the American League Player of the Month for April 2015. During the month the OF\DH hit 28 for 87, .322/.372/.724 with 3 2B, 10 HR, 22 RBI, 14 R, 1 SB, 7 BB and a 1.096 OPS in 22 games. This season he is hitting .327/.368/.766 with 14 HR, 26 RBI, 18 R, 1 SB in 27 games. Over 11 MLB seasons with the Mariners, Orioles, Rangers and Brewers he has hit .270/.330/.508 with 211 HR, 623 RBI, 509 R, 70 SB in 990 games. He originally signed with the Mets in 1998 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Cruz will be 35 on July 1st.
