Arizona 4 Florida State 3 CWS 2012 game 2

Arizona defeated Florida State 4-3 in 12 innings Friday night to advance to play UCLA on Sunday in a winner's bracket game. ESPN named Johnny Field the Player of the game for knocking in the winning run but I think Joey Rickard should have got it. Rickard had the double that put himself on second and he scored the winning run. Rickard was 2-4 with an RBI and 2 R while Field was 1-5 with an RBI, R and BB. Interesting that both Field and Rickard are products of Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. Matthew Troupe got the win after over two innings in relief and had a nasty pitch to strike out Devon Travis of Florida State to end the game. Florida State will play Stony Brook in an elimination game on Sunday.
