Futures Game 2017 World Team Infield

The rosters have been revealed for the 2017 Futures Game to be played on July 9 at Marlins Park, home of the Miami Marlins. Every Major League team has at least one player on either the US or World roster and some teams have more than one. In this post I'll be going over the infielders on the World team.

Yordan Alvarez is a left-handed 1B\DH at who has split 2017 between Class A Quad Cities and Class A Advanced Buies Creek of the Houston Astros. He has hit 40 for 111, .360/.468/.658 with 9 HR, 33 RBI, 26 R, 2 SB in 32 games at Quad Cities and 6 for 28, .214/.361/.393 with 1 HR, 7 RBI, 1 R, 0 SB in 8 games at Buies Creek.  He originally signed with the Dodgers in June 2016 as an amateur free agent and was traded to the Astros in August 2016. Alvarez was born in Las Tunas, Cuba and turned 20 on June 27.

Rafael Devers is a right-hand throwing and left-hand hitting third baseman at Double A Portland of the Boston Red Sox. He has hit 78 for 259, .301/.364/.583 with 16 HR, 50 RBI, 42 R, 0 SB in 68 games.  He originally signed with the Red Sox in 2013 as an amateur free agent. Devers was born in Sanchez, Dominican Republic and turned 20 on October 24.

Mauricio Dubon is a right-handed shortstop who has split 2016 between Double A Biloxi and Triple A Colorado Springs of the Milwaukee Brewers. He has hit 74 for 268, .276/.338/.351 with 2 HR, 24 RBI, 34 R, 31 SB in 71 games at Biloxi and 8 for 28, .286/.286/.393 with 0 HR, 5 RBI, 3 R, 0 SB in 6 games at Colorado Springs.  He was originally drafted by the Red Sox in the 26th round in 2013. Dubon was born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras and will be 23 on July 19.

Lucius Fox is a right-handed, switch hitting shortstop at Class A Bowling Green of the Tampa Bay Rays. He has hit 69 for 246, .280/.360/.358 with 2 HR, 23 RBI, 37 R, 22 SB in 63 games.  He originally signed with the Giants in 2015 as an amateur free agent and was traded to the Rays in 2016. Fox was born in Nassau, Bahamas and will be 20 on July 2nd.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr is a right handed third baseman at Class A Lansing of the Toronto Blue Jays. He has hit 80 for 253, .316/.403/.462 with 5 HR, 41 RBI, 46 R, 6 SB in 66 games.  He originally signed with the Blue Jays in 2015 as an amateur free agent. Guerrero was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and turned 18 on March 16.

Yoan Moncada is a right-handed, switch hitting second baseman at Triple A Charlotte of the Chicago White Sox. He has hit 74 for 263, .281/.383/.452 with 10 HR, 30 RBI, 50 R, 15 SB in 67 games. He originally signed with the Red Sox in 2015 as an amateur free agent and was traded to the White Sox in 2016. Moncada was born in Abreus, Cuba and turned 22 on May 27. He was also on the 2016 team.

Josh Naylor is a left handed first baseman at Class A Advanced Lake Elsinore of the San Diego Padres. He has hit .258/.316/.442 with 9 HR, 45 RBI, 33 R, 9 SB in 67 games.  He was originally drafted by the Marlins with the 12th pick of the first round in 2015 and traded to the Padres in 2016. Naylor was born in Missassauga, Ontario, Canada and turned 20 on June 22. He was also on the 2016 team.

Amed Rosario is a right-handed shortstop at Triple A Las Vegas of the New York Mets. He has hit 102 for 324, .315/.356/.463 with 7 HR, 49 RBI, 48 R, 14 SB in 78 games.  He originally signed with the Mets in 2012 as an amateur free agent . Rosario was born in Santo Domingo Centro, Dominican Republic and turned 21 on November 20.
