Jeff Bagwell MLB Hall of Fame 2017

Jeff Bagwell was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame class of 2017 along with Tim Raines, Ivan Rodriguez, John Schuerholz and Allan H "Bud" Selig. Bagwell was a first baseman with 15 seasons MLB experience playing his entire career with the Houston Astros (1991-2005). For his MLB career he hit .297/.408/.540 with 449 HR, 1529 RBI, 1517 R, 202 SB in 2150 games.

I believe his three best seasons were 1994 when he hit .368/.451/.750 with 39 HR, 116 RBI, 104 R, 15 SB in 110 games, 2000 when he hit .310/.424/.615 with 47 HR, 132 RBI, 152 R, 9 SB in 159 games and 1999 when he hit .304/.454/.591 with 42 HR, 126 RBI, 143 R, 30 SB in 162 games.

Bagwell was the National League Rookie of the Year in 1991 when he hit .294/.387/.437 with 15 HR, 82 RBI, 79 R, 7 SB in 156 games. He won the NL MVP in 1994 and finished second in the NL MVP voting in 1999 and third in 1997.

Bagwell led the National League in RBI in 1994. He led the NL in runs in 1994, 1999 and 2000. He led the NL in doubles in 1996 (48) and in walks in 1999 (149).

He was an All-Star four times (1994, 1996, 1997, 1999). He won one Gold Glove (1994) and three Silver Slugger Awards (1994, 1997, 1999).
