Tim Raines was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame class of 2017 along with Jeff Bagwell, Ivan Rodriguez, John Schuerholz and Allan H "Bud" Selig. Raines was an outfielder with 23 seasons MLB experience playing with the Montreal Expos (1979-1990, 2001), Chicago White Sox (1991-1995), New York Yankees (1996-1998), Oakland Athletics (1999), Baltimore Orioles (2001) and Florida Marlins (2002). For his MLB career he hit .294/.385/.425 with 170 HR, 980 RBI, 1571 R, 808 SB in 2502 games.
I believe his three best seasons were 1983 when he hit .298/.393/.429 with 11 HR, 71 RBI, 133 R, 90 SB in 156 games, 1987 when he hit .330/.429/.526 with 18 HR, 68 RBI, 123 R, 50 SB in 139 games and 1985 when he hit .320/.405/.475 with 11 HR, 41 RBI, 115 R, 70 SB in 150 games.
Raines was the National League batting champ in 1986 (.334). He led the NL in steals in 1981 (71), 1982 (78), 1983 and 1984 (75). He led the NL in runs in 1983 and 1987 and in doubles in 1984 (38).
He was an All-Star seven times (1981-1987). He won one Silver Slugger Award (1986). He was a three time World Series Champion (1996, 1998, 2005).
