Ivan Rodriguez MLB Hall of Fame 2017

Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame class of 2017 along with Jeff Bagwell, Tim Raines, John Schuerholz and Allan H "Bud" Selig. Rodriguez was an catcher with 21 seasons MLB experience playing with the Texas Rangers (1991-2002, 2009), Florida Marlins (2003), Detroit Tigers (2004-2008), New York Yankees (2008), Houston Astros (2009) and Washington Nationals (2010-2011). For his MLB career he hit .296/.334/.464 with 311 HR, 1332 RBI, 1354 R, 127 SB in 2543 games. His MLB career caught stealing rate was 46%.

I believe his three best seasons were 1999 when he hit .332/.356/.558 with 35 HR, 113 RBI, 116 R, 25 SB in 144 games, 1996 when he hit .300/.342/.473 with 19 HR, 86 RBI, 116 R, 5 SB in 153 games and 2003 when he hit .297/.369/.474 with 16 HR, 85 RBI, 90 R, 10 SB in 144 games.

Rodriguez won the American League MVP in 1999.

He was an All-Star 14 times (1992-2001, 2004-2007). He won 10 Gold Glove Awards (1992-2001, 2004, 2006, 2007) and seven Silver Slugger Awards (1994-1999, 2004). He was a one time World Series Champion (2003).
