Adrian Beltre reaches 3000 hit milestone

Adrian Beltre of the Texas Rangers reached the 3000 hit milestone in a 10-6 loss to the Baltimore Orioles on July 30, 2017. For the game he was 1 for 5 with a double and one run while hitting fourth and playing third base. The milestone hit came in the fourth inning off Wade Miley. He became the 31st player and only the third third baseman to reach the 3000 hit mark. This season he is hitting 58 for 189, .307/.382/.534 with 9 HR, 36 RBI, 28 R, 2 SB in 51 games. Over 20 MLB seasons with the Rangers, Red Sox, Mariners, and Dodgers he has hit .286/.339/.481 with 454 HR, 1607 RBI, 1456 R, 120 SB in 2461 games. He originally signed with the Dodgers in 1994 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Beltre turned 38 on April 7th.
