Jaime Garcia traded to Yankees

Jaime Garcia was traded by the Minnesota Twins to the New York Yankees on July 30, 2017. The Twins in exchange received Dietrich Enns and Zack Littell.

LHP Garcia had split 2017 with the Twins and Braves. He was 1-0, 4.05 ERA, 7 K, 1.65 WHIP, .308 BAA in 6.2 IP in 1 game with the Twins after being traded by the Braves on July 24Over nine MLB seasons with the Twins, Braves and Cardinals he was 67-52, 3.65 ERA, 815 K, 1.29 WHIP, .258 BAA in 1015.2 IP over 177 games with 166 GS. He was originally drafted by the Cardinals in the 22nd round in 2005 and was traded to the Braves in 2016. Garcia turned 31 on July 8th.

LHP Enns had split 2017 between Rookie Gulf Coast while rehabbing and Triple A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He was 1-0, 0.00 ERA, 10 K, 0.33 WHIP, .095 BAA in 6.0 IP in 1 game at Gulf Coast and 1-1, 2.29 ERA, 37 K, 1.02 WHIP, .207 BAA in 39.1 IP over 7 GS at SWB. He was originally drafted by the Yankees in the 19th round in 2012. Enns turned 26 on May 16.

RHP Littell had split 2017 between Class A Advanced Tampa and Double A Trenton. He was 9-1, 1.77 ERA, 57 K, 1.12 WHIP, .251 BAA in 71.1 IP over 13 games with 11 GS at Tampa and 5-0, 2.05 ERA, 52 K, 1.02 WHIP, .224 BAA in 44.0 IP over 7 GS at Trenton. He was originally drafted by the Mariners in the 11th round in 2013 and traded to the Yankees in 2016. Littell turned 21 on October 5th.
