Nick Tepesch traded to Blue Jays
Nick Tepesch was traded by the Minnesota Twins to the Toronto Blue Jays on July 24, 2017 for cash. The RHP split 2017 between Rookie Gulf Coast whiel rehabbing, Triple A Rochester and the Twins. He was 0-1, 11.25 ERA, 6 K, 1.75 WHIP, .324 BAA in 8.0 IP over 3 GS at Gulf Coast, 1-3, 5.59 ERA, 27 K, 1.55 WHIP, .303 BAA in 29.0 IP over 6 games with 5 GS at Rochester and 0-1, 5.40 ERA, 2 K, 4.20 WHIP, .455 BAA in 1.2 IP in 1 GS with the Twins. Over four MLB seasons with the Twins, Dodgers and Rangers he was 9-19, 4.69 ERA, 137 K, 1.39 WHIP, .274 BAA in 224.2 IP over 44 games with 41 GS. He was originally drafted by the Rangers in the 14th round in 2010. Tepesch turned 28 on October 12.
