John Schuerholz MLB Hall of Fame 2017

John Schuerholz was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame class of 2017 along with Jeff BagwellTim Raines, Ivan Rodriguez and Allan H "Bud" Selig. Schuerholz was a baseball executive with the Baltimore Orioles (1966-1969), Kansas City Royals (1969-1990) and Atlanta Braves (1990-2006).

Schuerholz was part of the core group that launched the Royals as an expansion team in 1969. He served as the general manager from 1981 to 1990. The Royals won the World Series in 1985.

He moved to the the Atlanta Braves where he served as general manager (1990-2007) and president (2007-2016). The Braves won the World Series in 1995 which made him the first GM to accomplish the feat in both leagues.
