Futures Game 2017 US Team Infield

The rosters have been revealed for the 2017 Futures Game to be played on July 9 at Marlins Park, home of the Miami Marlins. Every Major League team has at least one player on either the US or World roster and some teams have more than one. In this post I'll be going over the infielders on the US team.

Brian Anderson is a right-handed third baseman at Double A Jacksonville of the Miami Marlins. He has hit 70 for 271, .258/.350/.450 with 12 HR, 44 RBI, 48 R, 1 SB in 77 games. He was originally drafted by the Marlins in the third round in 2014. Anderson was born in Edmond, OK and turned 24 on May 19.

Bo Bichette is a right handed shortstop at Class A Lansing of the Toronto Blue Jays. He has hit 104 for 263, .395/.457/.635 with 9 HR, 48 RBI, 55 R, 12 SB in 64 games. He was originally drafted by the Blue Jays in the second round in 2016. Bichette was born in Orlando, FL and turned 19 on March 5th.

Nick Gordon is a right hand throwing and left hand hitting shortstop at Double A Chattanooga of the Minnesota Twins. He has hit 91 for 295, .308/.379/.481 with 6 HR, 43 RBI, 46 R, 8 SB in 71 games. He was originally drafted by the Twins with the fifth pick of the first round in 2014. Gordon was born in Avon Park, FL and turned 21 on October 24.

Rhys Hoskins is a right handed first baseman at Triple A Lehigh Valley of the Philadelphia Phillies. He has hit 84 for 277, .303/.399/.606 with 19 HR, 63 RBI, 57 R, 2 SB in 80 games. He was originally drafted by the Phillies in the fifth round in 2014. Hoskins was born in Sacramento, CA and turned 24 on March 17.

Scott Kingery is a right handed second baseman who has split 2016 between Double A Reading and Triple A Lehigh Valley of the Philadelphia Phillies. He has hit 87 for 278, .313/.379/.608 with 18 HR, 44 RBI, 62 R, 19 SB in 69 games at Reading and 6 for 18, .333/.300/.833 with 3 HR, 6 RBI, 5 R, 1 SB in 4 games at Lehigh Valley. He was originally drafted by the Phillies in the second round in 2015. Kingery was born in Phoenix, AZ and turned 23 on April 29.

Ryan McMahon is a right hand throwing and left hand batting third baseman who has split 2017 between Double A Hartford and Triple A Albuquerque of the Colorado Rockies. He has hit 59 for 181, .326/.390/.536 with 6 HR, 32 RBI, 28 R, 7 SB in 49 games at Hartford and 50 for 117, .427/.457/.726 with 7 HR, 28 RBI, 22 R, 4 SB in 27 games at AlbuquerqueHe was originally drafted by the Rockies in the second round in 2013. McMahon was born in Yorba Linda, CA and turned 22 on December 14.

Brendan Rodgers is a right-handed shortstop who has split 2017 between Class A Advanced Lancaster and Double A Hartford of the Colorado Rockies. He has hit 84 for 210, .400/.419/.700 with 12 HR, 46 RBI, 43 R, 2 SB in 48 games at Lancaster and 7 for 30, .233/.281/.233 with 0 HR, 1 RBI, 4 R, 2 SB in 8 games at Hartford. He was originally drafted by the Rockies with the third pick of the first round in 2015. Rodgers was born in Winter Park, FL and will be 21 on August 9th.

Nick Senzel is a right-handed third baseman who has split 2017 between Class A Advanced Daytona and Double A Pensacola of the Cincinnati Reds. He has hit 75 for 246, .305/.371/.476 with 4 HR, 31 RBI, 41 R, 9 SB in 62 games at Daytona and 5 for 25, .200/.286/.240 with 0 HR, 2 RBI, 4 R, 0 SB in 8 games at Pensacola. He was originally drafted by the Reds with second pick of the first round in 2016. Senzel was born in Atlanta, GA and turned 22 on June 29.
