Futures Game 2017 US Team Outfield

The rosters have been revealed for the 2017 Futures Game to be played on July 9 at Marlins Park, home of the Miami Marlins. Marlin. Every Major League team has at least one player on either the US or World roster and some teams have more than one. In this post I'll be going over the outfielders on the US team.

Lewis Brinson is a right-handed outfielder who has split 2017 between Triple A Colorado Springs and the Milwaukee Brewers. He has hit 63 for 197, .320/.400/.533 with 8 HR, 32 RBI, 48 R, 8 SB in 51 games at Colorado Springs and 3 for 31, .097/.200/.161 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 0 R, 1 SB in 14 games with the Brewers. He was originally drafted by the Rangers with the 29th pick of the first round in 2012 and traded to the Brewers in 2016. Brinson was born in Fort Lauderdale, FL and turned 23 on May 8th.

Derek Fisher is a right-hand throwing and left-hand hitting outfielder who has split 2017 between Triple A Fresno and the Houston Astros. He has hit 87 for 281, .310/.374/.584 with 18 HR, 53 RBI, 47 R, 13 SB in 69 games at Fresno and 5 for 18, .278/.381/.611 with 2 HR, 3 RBI, 3 R, 1 SB in 5 games with the Astros. He was originally drafted by Astros with the 37th pick of the first round in 2014. Fisher was born in Lebanon, PA and will be 24 on August 21.

Corey Ray is a left-handed outfielder at Class A Advanced Carolina of the Milwaukee Brewers. He has hit 62 for 243, .255/.332/.395 with 4 HR, 31 RBI, 33 R, 18 SB in 59 games. He was originally drafted by the Brewers with the fifth pick of the first round in 2016. Ray was born in Chicago, IL and will be 23 on September 22.

Bryan Reynolds is a right-hand throwing and switch hitting outfielder at Class A Advanced San Jose of the San Francisco Giants. He has hit 85 for 277, .307/.346/.455 with 4 HR, 31 RBI, 39 R, 1 SB in 66 games. He was originally drafted by the Giants in the second round in 2016. Reynolds was born in Baltimore, MD and turned 22 on January 27.

Kyle Tucker is a right-hand throwing and left-hand hitting outfielder who has split 2017 between Class A Advanced Buies Creek and Double A Corpus Christi of the Houston Astros. He has hit 51 for 177, .288/.379/.554 with 9 HR, 43 RBI, 31 R, 13 SB in 48 games at Buies Creek and 31 for 114, .272/.317/.544 with 7 HR, 18 RBI, 21 R, 4 SB in 27 games at Corpus Christi. He was originally drafted by the Astros with the fifth pick of the first round in 2015. Tucker was born in Tampa, FL and turned 20 on January 17.
