Jason Wheeler traded to Orioles
Jason Wheeler was traded by the Los Angeles Dodgers to the Baltimore Orioles on July 2, 2017 in exchange for international signing bonus pool space. The LHP had split 2017 between Triple A Rochester, the Minnesota Twins, Double A Tulsa and Triple A Oklahoma City. He was 4-1, 4.50 ERA, 37 K, 1.30 WHIP, .272 BAA in 44.0 IP over 8 games with 7 GS at Triple A Rochester and 0-0, 9.00 ERA, 0 K, 3.33 WHIP, .429 BAA in 3.0 IP over 2 games with the Twins, was traded to the Dodgers and was 0-0, 0.00 ERA, 0 K, 0.00 WHIP, .000 BAA in 1.0 IP in 1 game at Tulsa and 0-1, 10.38 ERA, 3 K, 2.08 WHIP, .400 BAA in 8.2 IP over 3 games with 1 GS at Oklahoma City. He was originally drafted by the Twins in the eighth round in 2011. Wheeler turned 26 on October 27.
