Kevin Millwood retires
Kevin Millwood announced his retirement from playing baseball in February 2013. The RHP had 16 seasons MLB experience pitching with the Mariners, Rockies, Orioles, Rangers, Indians, Phillies and Braves. For his MLB career he was 169-152 with a 4.11 ERA, 2083 K, 1.33 WHIP in 2720.1 IP over 451 games. His best season was 1999 with the Braves when he was 18-7 with a 2.68 ERA, 205 K, 1.00 WHIP in 228.0 IP over 33 games. He pitched a no-hitter in 2003 with the Phillies and was part of a staff effort no-hitter in 2012 with the Mariners. He was an All-Star in 1999. Millwood was originally drafted by the Braves in the 11th round in 1993.
