Stan Musial MLB Hall of Fame 1969

Stanley F Musial was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame class of 1969 along with Roy Campanella, Stanley Coveleski and Waite Hoyt. Musial was an OF\1B with 22 seasons MLB experience playing all with the St Louis Cardinals (1941-1944, 1946-1963). He missed the 1945 season while serving in the United States Navy during World War II. For his MLB career he hit .331/.417/.559 with 475 HR, 1951 RBI, 1949 R, 78 SB in 3026 games. 

I believe his three best seasons were 1948 when he hit .376/.450/.702 with 39 HR, 131 RBI, 135 R, 7 SB in 155 games, 1949 when he hit .338/.438/.624 with 36 HR, 123 RBI, 128 R, 3 SB in 157 games and 1954 when he hit .330/.428/.607 with 35 HR, 126 RBI, 120 R, 1 SB in 153 games. 

Musial won the National League MVP three times in 1943 when he hit .357/.425/.562 with 13 HR, 81 RBI, 108 R, 9 SB in 157 games, 1946 when he hit .365/.434/.587 with 16 HR, 103 RBI, 124 R, 7 SB in 156 games and 1948. He was also second in NL MVP voting in 1949, 1950, 1951 and 1957. 

Musial was the National League batting champ seven times in 1943, 1946, 1948, 1950 (.346), 1951 (.355), 1952 (.336) and 1957 (.351). He led the NL in doubles in 1943 (48), 1944 (51), 1946 (50), 1948 (46), 1949 (41), 1952 (42), 1953 (53) and 1954 (41). He led the NL in triples in 1943 (20), 1946 (20), 1948 (18), 1949 (13) and 1951 (12). He led the NL in RBI in 1948 and 1956 (109). He led the NL in runs in 1946, 1948, 1951 (124), 1952 (105) and 1954.  

He was an All Star 24 times (1943-1944, 1946-1963). His 3630 career hits ranks fourth all time. Musial won the World Series Championship three times with the Cardinals in 1942, 1944 and 1946.
