Leon A (Goose) Goslin was inducted into the Hall of Fame class of 1968 along with Kiki Cuyler and Joseph Medwick. Goslin was an outfielder with 18 seasons MLB experience playing with the Washington Senators (1921-1930, 1933, 1938), St Louis Browns (1930-1932) and Detroit Tigers (1934-1937). For his MLB career he hit .316/.387/.500 with 248 HR, 1609 RBI, 1483 R, 176 SB in 2287 games.
I believe his three best seasons were 1930 when he hit .308/.382/.601 with 37 HR, 138 RBI, 115 R, 17 SB in 148 games, 1925 when he hit .334/.394/.547 with 18 HR, 113 RBI, 116 R, 27 SB in 150 games and 1924 when he hit .344/.421/.516 with 12 HR, 129 RBI, 100 R, 15 SB in 154 games.
He was the American League batting champ in 1928 (.379). He led the AL in triples in 1923 (18) and 1925 (20). He led the AL in RBI in 1924.
He was an All Star selection in 1936. Goslin won the World Series Championship with the Senators in 1924 and the Tigers in 1935.
