Henry E (Heinie) Manush was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame class of 1964 along with Luke Appling, Red Faber, Burleigh Grimes, Miller Huggins, Timothy Keefe and Monte Ward. Manush was an outfielder with 17 seasons MLB experience playing with the Detroit Tigers (1923-1927), St Louis Browns (1928-1930), Washington Senators (1930-1935), Boston Red Sox (1936), Brooklyn Dodgers (1937-1938) and Pittsburgh Pirates (1938-1939). For his MLB career he hit .330/.377/.479 with 110 HR, 1183 RBI, 1287 R, 113 SB in 2008 games.
I believe his best three seasons were 1932 when he hit .342/.383/.520 with 14 HR, 116 RBI, 121 R, 7 SB in 149 games, 1928 when he hit .378/.414/.575 with 13 HR, 108 RBI, 104 R, 16 SB in 154 games and 1933 when he hit .336/.372/.459 with 5 HR, 95 RBI, 115 R, 6 SB in 153 games.
Manush was the American League batting champ in 1926 (.378). He led the AL in doubles in 1928 (47) and 1929 (45). He led the AL in triples in 1933 (17).
He was selected to the All Star game in 1934. He was second in AL MVP voting in 1928. He was second in NL MVP voting in 1937.
