Max Scherzer June 2017 NL Pitcher of the Month

Max Scherzer of the Washington Nationals was selected the National League Pitcher of the Month for June 2017. During the month he was 3-2, 0.99 ERA, 51 K, 0.55 WHIP, .114 BAA in 36.1 IP over 5 GS. This season the RHP is 10-5, 1.94 ERA, 163 K, 0.77 WHIP, .159 BAA in 120.2 IP over 17 GS. Over 10 MLB seasons with the Nationals, Tigers and Diamondbacks he is 135-74, 3.29 ERA, 2044 K, 1.12 WHIP, .227 BAA in 1817.0 IP over 291 games with 282 GS.  He was originally drafted by the Diamondbacks with the 11th pick of the first round in 2006, traded to the Tigers in 2009 and signed with the Nationals in 2015. Scherzer will be 33 on July 27.
