Braxton Lee of the Montgomery Biscuits and Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp was selected the Southern League Player of the Week for the span of June 26, 2017 through July 2, 2017. It was an unusual situation as he was traded mid-week by the Rays to the Marlins but both teams have affiliates in the Southern League.  For the week he hit a combined 12 for 21, .571/.609/.905 with 2 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, 6 RBI, 6 R, 1 SB and 2 BB in 6 games. He had also earned the award week 6. This season the outfielder is hitting 12 for 30, .400/.486/.567 with 1 HR, 7 RBI, 7 R, 1 SB in 8 games at Jacksonville and 84 for 262, .321/.391/.401 with 2 HR, 16 RBI, 47 R, 12 SB in 67 games at  Double A Montgomery. Jacksonville is the Double A team of the Miami Marlins. He was originally drafted by the Rays in the 12th round in 2014. Lee will be 24 on August 23.
