2012 Where are they now 2010 MLB draft picks 21 to 32

The 2012 season is behind us and I'm checking how picks 21 to 32 of the 2010 draft did this season. Traditionally players drafted out of college advance faster than those drafted out of high school and pitchers usually advance faster than position players. Some players might also be traded to help their team get an established player that can help their team improve immediately.

The Minnesota Twins drafted RHP Alex Wimmers 21st out of Ohio State. He split 2012 between Rookie Gulf Coast and Double A New Britain. He was 0-1 with a 40.50 ERA, 0 K, 7.50 WHIP in 0.2 IP in 1 game at Gulf Coast and was 0-0 with a 4.15 ERA, 3 K, 1.85 WHIP in 4.1 IP in 1 game at New Britain. He was injured early in the season and had Tommy John surgery after attempting a long rehab.

The Texas Rangers drafted catcher Kellin Deglan 22nd out of R.E. Mountain Secondary School in Canada. He played 2012 at Class A Hickory. He hit .234/.310/.438 with 12 HR, 41 RBI, 46 R, 4 SB in 92 games.

The Florida Marlins drafted outfielder Christian Yelich 23rd out of Westlake High School in Westlake Village, CA. He split 2012 between Rookie Gulf Coast and Class A Advanced Jupiter. He hit .250/.250/.250 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 0 R, 0 SB in 1 game at Gulf Coast and hit .330/.404/.519 with 12 HR, 48 RBI, 76 R, 20 SB in 106 games at Jupiter.

The St Louis Cardinals drafted third baseman Zack Cox 25th out of Arkansas. He split 2012 between the Cardinals and Marlins organizations after he was traded in July. Before the trade he played at the Cardinals Triple A team Memphis and hit .254/.294/.421 with 9 HR, 30 RBI, 27 R, 1 SB in 84 games. After the trade he played at the Marlins Double A team Jacksonville and hit .253/.321/.368 with 1 HR, 13 RBI, 14 R, 0 SB in 24 games.

The Colorado Rockies drafted outfielder Kyle Parker 26th out of Clemson.  He played 2012 at Class A Advanced Modesto. He hit .308/.415/.562 with 23 HR, 73 RBI, 86 R, 1 SB in 102 games.
