2012 Where are they now 2007 MLB draft picks 11 to 20

The 2012 season is behind us and I'm checking how picks 11 to 20 of the 2007 draft did this season. Traditionally players drafted out of college advance faster than those drafted out of high school and pitchers usually advance faster than position players. Some players might also be traded to help their team get an established player that can help their team improve immediately.

The Seattle Mariners drafted RHP Phillippe Aumont 11th out of Ecole Du Versant in Quebec. He was traded to the Phillies in 2009. 
He split 2012 between Triple A Lehigh Valley and the Phillies. HE was 3-1 with a 4.26 ERA, 59 K, 1.53 WHIP, 15 SV in 44.1 IP over 41 games at Lehigh Valley and was 0-1 with a 3.68 ERA, 14 K, 1.29 WHIP, 2 SV in 14.2 IP over 18 games with the Phillies.

The Florida Marlins drafted third baseman Matt Dominguez 12th out of Chatsworth High School in Chatsworth, CA. He split 2012 between the Marlins and Astros organizations after he was traded in July. Before the trade he played with the Marlins Triple A team New Orleans and hit .234/.291/.357 with 7 HR, 46 RBI, 27 R, 0 SB in 78 games. After the trade he split time with Triple A Oklahoma City and the Astros and hit .298/.347/.398 with 2 HR, 23 RBI, 21 R, 0 SB in 45 games at Oklahoma City and hit .284/.310/.477 with 5 HR, 16 RBI, 14 R, 0 SB in 31 games with the Astros.

The Cleveland Indians drafted first baseman Beau Mills 13th out of Lewis-Clark State College. He split 2012 between the Indians and Reds organizations after being traded in June. Before the trade he played for the Indians Triple A team Columbus and hit .197/.239/.394 with 7 HR, 21 RBI, 13 R, 0 SB in 39 games. After the trade he played with the Reds Double A team Pensacola and hit .272/.343/.495 with 10 HR, 31 RBI, 21 R, 2 SB in 60 games.

The Atlanta Braves drafted outfielder Jason Heyward 14th out of Henry County High School in Georgia. He played 2012 with the Braves. He hit .269/.335/.479 with 27 HR, 82 RBI, 93 R, 21 SB in 158 games.

The Cincinnati Reds drafted catcher Devin Mesoraco 15th out of Punxsutawney Area High School in Punxsutawney, PA  He split 2012 between Triple A Louisville and the Reds. He hit .167/.211/.222 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 0 R, 0 SB in 5 games at Louisville and hit .212/.288/.352 with 5 HR, 14 RBI, 17 R, 1 SB in 54 games. He missed part of the season with a concussion.

The Toronto Blue Jays drafted shortstop Kevin Ahrens 16th out of Memorial High School in Houston, TX. He played 2012 at Class A Advanced Dunedin. He hit .240/.338/.345 with 8 HR, 53 RBI, 59 R, 1 SB in 120 games.

The Texas Rangers drafted RHP Blake Beavan 17th out of Irving High School in Texas. He was traded to the Mariners in 2010. He split 2012 between Triple A Tacoma and the Mariners. He was 4-0 with a 2.61 ERA, 15 K, 1.26 WHIP in 38.0 IP over 6 games at Tacoma and was 11-11 with a 4.43 ERA, 67 K, 1.26 WHIP in 152.1 IP over 26 games with the Mariners.

The St Louis Cardinals drafted shortstop Peter Kozma 18th out of Owasso High School in Owasso, OK. He split 2012 between Triple A Memphis and the Cardinals. He hit .232/.292/.355 with 11 HR, 63 RBI, 61 R, 7 SB in 131 games at Memphis and hit .333/.383/.569 with 2 HR, 14 RBI, 11 R, 2 SB in 26 games with the Cardinals.

The Philadelphia Phillies drafted LHP Joe Savery 19th out of Rice. He split 2012 season between Triple A Lehigh Valley and Phillies. He was 1-1 with a 4.24 ERA, 26 K, 1.54 WHIP, 2 SV in 23.1 IP over 20 games at Lehigh Valley and was 1-2 with a 5.40 ERA, 16 K, 1.36 WHIP in 25.0 IP over 19 games with the Phillies.

The Los Angeles Dodgers drafted RHP Chris Withrow 20th out of Midland High School in Midland, TX. He pitched 2012 at Double A Chattanooga. He was 3-3 with a 4.65 ERA, 64 K, 1.47 WHIP, 2 SV in 60.0 IP over 22 games.
