2012 Where are they now 2010 MLB draft picks 33 to 40

The 2012 season is behind us and I'm checking how picks 33 to 40 of the 2010 draft did this season. Traditionally players drafted out of college advance faster than those drafted out of high school and pitchers usually advance faster than position players. Some players might also be traded to help their team get an established player that can help their team improve immediately.

The Houston Astros drafted catcher Mike Kvasnicka 33rd out of Minnesota. He played 2012 at Class A Lexington. He hit .232/.275/.412 with 15 HR, 53 RBI, 46 R, 1 SB in 88 games.

The Toronto Blue Jays drafted RHP Aaron Sanchez 34th out of Barstow High School in Barstow, CA. He pitched 2012 at Class A Lansing. He was 8-5 with a 2.49 ERA, 97 K, 1.27 WHIP in 90.1 IP over 25 games.

The Atlanta Braves drafted shortstop Matt Lipka 35th out of McKinney High School in McKinney, TX. He played 2012 at Class A Advanced Lynchburg. He hit .271/.335/.337 with 2 HR, 13 RBI, 32 R, 12 SB in 51 games.

The Boston Red Sox drafted outfielder Bryce Brentz 36th out of Middle Tennessee State. He split 2012 between Double A Portland and Triple A Pawtucket. He hit .296/.355/.478 with 17 HR, 76 RBI, 62 R, 7 SB in 122 games at Portland and hit .118/.167/.118 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 0 R, 0 SB in 5 games at Pawtucket.

The Los Angeles Angels drafted shortstop Taylor Lindsey 37th out of Desert Mountain High School in Scottsdale, AZ. He played 2012 at Class A Advanced Inland Empire. He hit .289/.328/.408 with 9 HR, 58 RBI, 79 R, 8 SB in 134 games.

The Toronto Blue Jays drafted RHP Noah Syndergaard 38th out of Legacy High School in Mansfield, TX. He played 2012 at Class A Lansing. He was 8-5 with a 2.60 ERA, 122 K, 1.08 WHIP, 1 SV in 103.2 IP over 27 games.

The Boston Red Sox drafted RHP Anthony Ranaudo 39th out of Louisiana State. He played 2012 at Double A Portland. He was 1-3 with a 6.69 ERA, 27 K, 1.80 WHIP in 37.2 IP over 9 games. He missed part of the season due to a groin injury.

The Los Angeles Angels drafted outfielder Ryan Bolden 40th out of Madison Central High School in Madison, MS. He played 2012 at Rookie Arizona. He hit .133/.289/.235 with 2 HR, 6 RBI, 18 R, 2 SB in 32 games.
